Welcome to Attenborough Class
Attenborough class is taught by Mr Billington and Miss Schofield and they are supported by Mrs Simmons and Mrs Farman.
Sir David Attenborough is a British naturalist, broadcaster and explorer. For more than seventy years he has travelled across every continent to study animals, plants and habitats, helping millions of people understand the beauty and importance of our planet. He has created nature documentaries such as Planet Earth, Blue Planet and Life on Planet Earth.
David Attenborough is a powerful role model for curiosity, discovery and environmental responsibility. Through his documentaries, he brings nature into out homes and classrooms, inspiring young people to appreciate the world around them.
In school, children study David Attenborough to learn about: habitats and ecosystems, animals around the world and what it means to be an explorer. He has been chosen for our class explorer as he represents many important values: curiosity, care for the natural world, a love of learning and having the courage to explore new ideas. His work shows that anyone can make a positive difference to the planet.
