Explorers is taught by Miss Schofield and Mrs Simmons.
In Explorers, children will be immersed in a theme providing them with opportunities to lead their own learning, apply previously taught skills and learn new knowledge about the world.
In Explorers Class, our class explorer is David de Rothschild, a modern adventurer and environmentalist. He helps people learn about protecting our planet in inspiring ways.
David is best known for building a special boat called the Plastiki, which was made from recycled plastic bottles. He sailed this boat across the ocean to show how plastic waste can be reused and to raise awareness about pollution in our seas. This was important because it helped people understand the impact of plastic on the environment and how we can make better choices.
David de Rothschild shows qualities such as creativity, courage, and determination. He uses his ideas to solve problems and encourages people to take care of the Earth. Through his journeys and projects, he teaches us why it is important to protect our oceans and reduce waste.
