It is a privilege to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school. Our children are at the heart of everything we do, and our aim is to ensure that every one of them receives the outstanding education and enriching experiences they deserve.

Our lessons are ambitious and engaging. We foster a love of reading and take pride in being confident writers and mathematicians. We are passionate about STEM and have developed unique, carefully designed curricula in geography, history, and science. Through these subjects, our children learn about the beautiful world we live in and how to sustain and protect it. Our dedicated Eco Council has worked hard to achieve a Green Flag award, reflecting our strong commitment to environmental awareness and responsibility.

We value outdoor learning and spend as much time outside as possible. This includes educational trips through our Ansdell Adventure Passport, curriculum visits to the coast and Fairhaven Lake, and everyday play and learning in our new ‘Forest’ playground, specially designed and created by Cool Canvas. We also nurture strong links with our local community, building meaningful relationships across generations.

The creative arts and sport play an important role in school life. We promote a love of music through singing, choir, dancing, and a range of clubs. Our children are also enthusiastic sports participants, taking part in competitions and festivals, as well as enjoying after-school clubs and lunchtime sports sessions led by our dedicated sports coach.

Above all, we are a kind and caring school community. Our children look out for one another and treat everyone with respect. They are taught the importance of compassion, empathy, and understanding different perspectives. As a result, our school is a warm, welcoming place where everyone feels valued and cherished.
